DESCRIPTION:

This private land elk hunts are located in the heart of the Sacramento Mountains of New Mexico. It is just shy of 7,000 acres and boarders on multiple sides the world famous Mescalero Reservation. Hunters can expect to be hunting 300+ inch bulls and the ranch will produce a couple 340-360 bulls a year. Success rates have been at or just over 85% over the last number of years, you may not be covered in elk each day of your hunt, but with the expert guides who know what to do in order to be successful on this ranch you are in great hands and have a real crack at taking a fantastic bull. The accommodations are quite rustic, there is no electricity on the property and currently no cell phone service on 80% of the ranch. Power is supplied by solar on batteries, and propane heaters are available when needed. As you can see from the pictures above the guest sleeping arrangements are adjacent to the kitchen and old cabin, and were built only a few years ago. There is a shower in the old house, and you will be warm and dry, but this is not a million dollar lodge.
